Size Guide
Find your fit across baby quiltsies, capes, and quilts. All measurements are in inches unless noted.
How to Measure
Use a soft tape measure over light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure twice. If you fall between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit or down for a tailored one.
- Chest: around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
- Waist: around your natural waistline, just above the belly button.
- Hip: around the fullest part of your hips, feet together.
- Sleeve: from the center back of your neck, over the shoulder, down to the wrist bone.
Baby Quiltsies
The Classic Quilted Baby Quiltsie is sized by age with snap closures at the bottom for easy changes. Babies vary a lot, so go by weight and height rather than age when they disagree.
| Size | Age | Weight | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| NB | Newborn | 5–8 lb | up to 21 in |
| 3M | 0–3 months | 8–12 lb | 21–24 in |
| 6M | 3–6 months | 12–16 lb | 24–26 in |
| 9M | 6–9 months | 16–20 lb | 26–28 in |
| 12M | 9–12 months | 20–24 lb | 28–30 in |
| 18M | 12–18 months | 24–28 lb | 30–32 in |
Quilted layers are warm. For a baby who runs hot or for indoor wear, a light cotton bodysuit underneath is all you need.
Capes & Quilts
The Quilted Patchwork Cape is one size with a flowing, open fit that drapes over most frames. It measures roughly 32 inches from shoulder to hem and 60 inches across the back at full spread. Hook-and-eye closure sits at the collarbone.
Quilts are listed with their finished dimensions on each product page. Standard throw size is 50 by 60 inches.
Fit Notes
- Quilted pieces soften and relax slightly with wear. Expect a snug first wear.
- Hand-quilting means small variations of up to half an inch between pieces. That is part of the charm, not a defect.
